LOCAL LABOUR
MARKET PARTNERSHIPS
- If you are a Community
Partner that is willing to participate in an initiative that would assist
in identifying labour market needs in your community.
- MMF - HRDT Department
can provide your community group with financial support to conduct activities
such as; Research, Leadership development, Promotions, Communications,
and Coordination.
- E.g. Community
profiles, Seminars, and Workshops.
- Assistance
can be in way of overhead costs to the delivery of the employment measures.
- Your Group
is eligible... if you are a group of individuals who are representatives
of your community (Community Partners) who are willing to undertake
an initiative that would assist in identifying the labour market needs
of your community.
What is Local
Labour Market Partnerships?
- L.L.M.P
is a labour market program delivered by the MMF - HRDT Department to
encourage joint decision making with Community Partners on Human Resource
Development, and on the strategic planning of the delivery of employment
programs and services.
What is the
objective of Labour Market Partnerships?
- The objective
of L.L.M.P. is to support Community efforts to identify labour market
needs in the community which includes identifying the types of programs
and services required to address these needs.
Who can apply?
- Community Partners
such as Municipal Governments, Non-Profit Organizations, Educational
Institutions, School Boards, Chamber of Commerce, Manitoba Métis
Federation Local Chapters, and Community Development Corporations.
What is the
length of a project?
- L.L.M.P.
can last from one (1) month to three (3) months depending on the activities
and time frame to achieve those activities.
What type
of assistance can the group receive?
- Local Labour
Market Partnership provides financial assistance towards the overhead
costs to the project.
