YOUTH AWARENESS
INITIATIVES
- Youth Awareness
Initiatives are intended to provide financial support to Organizations
that are willing to develop and undertake activities that will respond
to the employment needs and heighten awareness on labour market information
directly related to our Youth.
What is the
objective of the Youth Awareness Initiative?
- The objective
of Youth Awareness Initiatives are to ensure Youth and Youth-Serving
Agencies are aware of career-related information, and to motivate Youth
to take charge of their future, their employment career plan.
Who can apply?
- Community Partners,
MMF Locals, Non-Profit Organizations, Education Institutions, and Community
Development Corporations.
Who is eligible
to participate?
- Any and all Métis,
Inuit or Non-Status Youth under the Age of 30 years, who are in need
of assistance as to Career Decision Making.
What type
of Activities can receive funding?
- Initiatives that
bring together Youth and Employers; in way of Seminars, workshops and
other activities that will increase Youth Awareness of employment Opportunities
available to help them successfully integrate into the labour market.
What type
of costs are covered?
- Contributions
can be in way of facilitators salary and overhead cost.
